Revenue of China's top liquor brand exceeds 100b yuan in 2021

GUIYANG -- China's leading liquor maker Kweichow Moutai reported Thursday that its operating revenue reached 109.5 billion yuan ($17.2 billion) in 2021, up 11.71 percent year-on-year.

It also saw its profit rise 12.59 percent year-on-year to 74.5 billion yuan last year.

In recent years, the liquor industry in China has grown steadily and achieved high-quality development.

In 2021, the total operating revenue and profit of Chinese liquor enterprises each with annual main business revenue of at least 20 million yuan stood at 603.3 billion yuan and 170.2 billion yuan, up 18.6 percent and 32.95 percent year-on-year, respectively.
