Beyond Meat, a leading plant-based meat company, today announced a partnership with China's homegrown Western fast-food chain Dicos to launch the Beyond Burger patty at select Dicos locations across China.

The new Trio-cheese Plant-Based Beef Burger will be available at Dicos starting on July 6. To celebrate the launch, consumers will have a chance to enjoy a second burger at half price for a limited time, said Cui Kaijun, Dicos general manager.

"We are delighted to join with Beyond Meat to add the Trio-cheese Plant-Based Beef Burger to our menu, providing consumers with a high-quality plant-based protein and helping to make plant-based meat a part of the local dining culture," Cui said.

The Beyond Burger is made from simple, plant-based ingredients and designed to deliver the taste and texture similar to animal-based patties. It is a rich source of protein with 16.5 grams per 100-gram serving. Each serving contains only 15.9 grams of fat, while that of traditional beef chuck is 31.7 grams, said Jeremy Yeo, Beyond Meat's acting general manager in China.

Beyond Meat products are also available at retailers such as City Shop and Sam's Club, as well as China's three major e-commerce platforms — JD.com, Tmall, and Pinduoduo, Yeo said.
