China's icebreaker reaches Arctic Circle to begin scientific research

China's research icebreaker Xuelong 2 has sailed into the Arctic Circle and is about to start scientific research operations, according to China Central Television.

China's 13th Arctic Ocean Scientific Expedition Team is heading toward the North Pole on board the Xuelong 2 polar scientific research icebreaker.

China's active participation in this scientific exploration demonstrates the country's commitment to international efforts aimed at preserving and conserving the Arctic environment.
