"Luo Yi is an old friend whom I have known for many years. He is truly a sincere artist," said professor from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Shao Dazhen, in his speech at the opening ceremony.

"His artworks don't strive for novelty through extravagance, rather, they seek the extraordinary within the ordinary, finding uniqueness in simplicity. This parallels his personal demeanor, which is unpretentious and humble."

According to Shao, Luo's works are a combination of his studies in Czech and his deep comprehension of Chinese traditional art, added with his inward exploration and personal expression.
