Chinese ride-hailing company Didi Global Inc said on Monday that it recorded a 25 percent year-on-year jump in revenue to 51.4 billion yuan ($7 billion) in the third quarter of this year, marking a historic high on the back of the recovery of domestic demand for transportation.

Specifically, Didi's revenue from the Chinese market reached 46.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 27 percent, and its revenue from international businesses achieved revenues of 2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28 percent.

Didi said its overall order volume in the third quarter continued the growth trend of the previous two quarters, with about 3.58 billion orders in total on its core platform, a year-on-year jump of 34 percent.

Cheng Wei, CEO and chairman of Didi, said: "Thanks to the continuous recovery of domestic travel demand, our various businesses have continued to grow steadily in the third quarter."

The company did not disclose the specific data for its profits.
