US youth calls for dialogue and exchange

"We have to be able to have constructive conversations with respect and trust," said Tommy Preston, a delegate sent by the American Council of Young Political Leaders to China in December, 2023.
He visited Beijing's Huairou district and gained insights into rural revitalization, ranging from chestnut sales to the development of rural accommodations.
"The more we're able to learn from each other to have exchanges like we are now，over many wonderful meals here in China, the better our outcomes will be for both of us," said Ashton Clemmons, state representative of North Carolina and a member of the delegation.
