The 14th China International Road Traffic Security Products Expo & Traffic Police Equipment Exhibition (CTSE) has recently been held in Xiamen city, East China's Fujian province, injecting fresh impetus into the development of traffic safety.

Themed on "gathering S&T strengths to safeguard traffic safety", the CTSE has unveiled a series of new traffic safety products. Utilizing the emerging technologies such as intelligent networks, big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain, the products are expected to help with the traffic flow monitoring, traffic signal control, and accident analysis and prevention.

Meanwhile, the Recommended Catalogue of Road Traffic Safety Products and Equipment (2024 Edition) and the Research and Analysis Report on Traffic Management Law Enforcement Recorder Industry have both been released on the site.

The documents highlight efforts to promote the wide application of the new technologies and devices in traffic management. They also strive to accelerate the modernization of the sector by providing detailed market analysis.

A range of forums have also been held during the CTSE, exploring ways to reduce the number of traffic accidents, especially the major ones. The participants expect a new traffic management system based on "joint construction, joint governance and shared benefits" to take shape in the country.

In addition, winners of the First Teaching Innovation Competition for Intelligent Traffic Policing were honored at the CTSE's opening ceremony. The public security colleges and universities were encouraged to cultivate more talents and deepen the research in intelligent traffic policing.
