State Grid's efforts powering growth in Henan's steel industry

During the height of summer, the Shenqiu Port in Shenqiu county, Zhoukou, Henan province, is bustling as vehicles and ships come and go. Anyang Iron and Steel located nearby is a recipient of iron ore from countries such as Canada, South Africa and Australia, which will be used as raw materials for the steel factory.

In the Sha'nan industrial zone in Shenqiu county, Zhoukou city, State Grid Zhoukou Power Supply Company recently conducted safety inspections on the electrical systems for Anyang Iron and Steel. They performed comprehensive inspections on the customer's 220-kilovolt substations, high-voltage transformer rooms, distribution lines and production workshops, assisting in promptly addressing safety hazards and providing suggestions for safe and energy-efficient electricity usage.

"This summer, with exceptionally high temperatures, it is crucial to conduct regular inspections on the power supply system. We will maintain full-coverage services to ensure a reliable power supply," said a member from the Jiao Yulu Communist Party Member Service Team organized by the State Grid Zhoukou Power Supply Company.
