From Oct 20 to 22, the 24th Tubeless International training class captivated 34 foreign medical experts from 30 medical institutions around the world.

At First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University and the National Center for Respiratory Medicine in Guangzhou, foreign experts convened to learn the groundbreaking tubeless+metaverse thoracic surgical technology — a pioneering innovation led by Professor He Jianxing, director of National Center for Respiratory Medicine and President of Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health.

Through the class, foreign experts observed the practical application of tubeless technology in intricate surgical scenarios, including lung transplantation and other procedures. They witnessed firsthand the pivotal role played by the precision technology in accelerating postoperative recovery.

Tubeless technology — a kind of thoracic surgery that maintains spontaneous breathing anesthesia — empowers patients to breathe on their own during procedures, thereby reducing postoperative complications and minimizing the need for sedatives and muscle relaxants during surgery. It also mitigates the adverse effects associated with anesthesia.

"I am astounded," said Dr Narasimhan of India following his observation of a tubeless surgery on a lung cancer patient, "I never imagined that lung cancer surgery could reach such a level and deliver such rapid patient recovery."

Narasimhan expressed his intention to employ tubeless technology upon his return to India, particularly for treating early-stage tumor patients.
