2024 China International Digital Economy Expo highlight digital industrialization achievements

A three-day AI-themed expo, held in Hebei province, has successfully showcased the country's latest achievements and cutting-edge technologies in the field of digital industrialization.
The 2024 China International Digital Economy Expo kicked off on Thursday at Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) International Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhengding, Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei.
With the theme "Empowering Industrial Development with Artificial Intelligence", the event featured six main categories namely, industry exchanges, comprehensive exhibitions, investment matchmaking, roadshows, achievements presentations and AI experiences, with a total exhibition area of approximately 35,000 square meters.
Among the exhibits, the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, a private non-profit organization engaged in AI research and development, released the first-phase results of its "Industry Data Set - Scene Application Innovation Plan."
Through cooperation with enterprises and institutions, the plan successfully promoted the practical application of a series of industry solutions.
These solutions cover various application scenarios in different industries, including financial taxation, agricultural product price monitoring and optimization, as well as intelligent customer service and maintenance inspection assistance in the automotive industry.
During the expo, 31 cooperative projects were signed, with a total signing amount reaching 9 billion yuan ($1.3 billion), according to a report by Hebei Daily.
The event invited top experts, scholars and key figures from renowned enterprises in the digital economy sector to focus on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and digital transformation, aiming to collectively explore the future development directions of digital economy and artificial intelligence, according to the organizers.
In recent years, Hebei has fully leveraged the advantages of the expo, vigorously promoting the deep integration of digital economy and real economy, and accelerating the construction of a data-driven economy.
Hebei ranked first across the country in terms of its comprehensive computing power index, according to a "China Comprehensive Computing Power Index (2024)" which was recently released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology at the 2024 China Computational Power Conference.
In cities' computing power sub-index rankings, the cities of Langfang and Zhangjiakou in Hebei ranked first and second respectively.
Zhangjiakou aims to establish itself as the "Capital of Computing Power" in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with a total of 1.6 million big data servers in operation, according to Hebei Daily.
