With China entering a new era of green and innovation-led growth, Hexagon AB, the Swedish technology group, plans to deliver more tailored solutions for rapidly expanding sectors such as electric vehicles and commercial aviation to support China's rising demand for high-end manufacturing, a senior executive said.

Speaking at the company's booth during the seventh China International Import Expo held in Shanghai from Tuesday to Sunday, Josh Weiss, president of Hexagon's manufacturing intelligence division, said that as China has a dynamic and unique landscape, the company will focus heavily on a "Glocal" (Global+Local)approach to bring in top global technology while innovating locally to stay competitive in this huge market.

"Collaborating with local partners and startups has been a key part of this strategy, helping us remain agile and address China's industry needs directly," said Weiss.

Emphasizing that the approach goes beyond financial investment, Weiss highlighted the importance of nurturing the local ecosystem to allow these companies to bring fresh qualities and insights into Hexagon's work.

"Our goal is to create value that expands our presence and deepens our impact across China," he added.

Upbeat about the Chinese market, Hexagon showcased its latest products and technology solutions during the seventh CIIE in Shanghai this week. Its exhibition area spanned 600 square meters.

Eager to enhance its presence, the Stockholm-headquartered group has established empowerment centers in Shanghai and Qingdao, Shandong province, as well as other regions within the country. These centers serve as hubs for local industry growth and innovation.
