Since the beginning of his career, Belgian artist Luc Tuymans has painted works which inspire skepticism toward imagery. This practice creates even louder resonance among the audience in such a digital era where images are created easily, manipulated and shared.
Tuymans, regarded one of the most influential painters of the time, recently arrived in Beijing to attend his survey exhibition, Luc Tuymans: The Past, at the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art until Feb 16.
