Opportunity China compiles more than 70 key economic opinion pieces from distinguished experts, including Rachmat Kaimuddin, Indonesian deputy coordinating minister of maritime affairs and investments in infrastructure and transportation; Donald Ramotar, former president of Guyana; Ong Tee Keat, former deputy speaker of the Lower House of the Malaysian Parliament; Liu Jun, president of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China; Chen Liming, the Greater China chairman of the World Economic Forum; renowned economists from Peking University, including Justin Lin Yifu, Yao Yang, and Huang Yiping; and Zhao Zhongxiu, president of the University of International Business and Economics. The book explores the new opportunities brought by China's transition from high-speed growth to high-quality development. It also highlights the tremendous achievements of China in international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, offering in-depth insights into key questions such as "Why does China's economy work?" and "How is China contributing to the world?"
The 43rd Santiago International Book Fair, held from Nov 8-17 at the Mapocho Cultural Center in Santiago, Chile, featured China as the guest of honor at the invitation of the Chilean government. As one of Latin America's largest and most influential book fairs, it has attracted more than 300,000 visitors annually since its inception in 1981, bringing together publishers and cultural institutions from across the globe.
CIP presented nearly 300 Spanish and English editions of Chinese books and cultural products at the fair. These books covered a wide array of topics, including politics, economics, culture, and literature, highlighting the richness and global influence of Chinese culture.
