The State Administration for Market Regulation, China's top market regulator, said on Monday that it has initiated an investigation into US chip giant Nvidia for suspected monopolistic behaviors.

Nvidia is suspected of violating China's Anti-Monopoly Law, as well as the market regulator's antitrust review decision on the company's acquisition of chip manufacturer Mellanox Technologies, the regulator said.
