Art reflects changes through the decades

More than 100 paintings are now on show at the gallery of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, reflecting economic, social and cultural transformations throughout decades. It marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China.

Launched earlier this year, the organizing committee of the show received thousands of works from across the country, including Chinese paintings, oil works, calligraphic pieces, seal art, paper-cuttings and other kinds of work of handicrafts.

The selected paintings were first shown in Shanghai in August, touring Shaanxi and Hebei provinces, before it reached Beijing.
