German carmaker BMW Group said on Monday that it delivered 714,530 BMW and MINI vehicles in China last year.

Its namesake BMW brand retained the top position in China's luxury passenger vehicle segment while achieving significant milestones across multiple sub-segments, said the Munich-headquartered group.

The BMW X family, a cornerstone of the brand, continued its robust market performance, with more than half of its core products leading their respective segments.

Notably, the domestically produced BMW X5 achieved nearly 90,000 deliveries throughout the year.

The BMW and MINI brands saw a 7.7 percent year-on-year growth in pure electric vehicle sales in China.

The newly launched electric MINI COOPER and MINI ACEMAN, introduced in the third quarter, have seen increasing contributions to MINI's sales figures.

Cumulatively, BMW Group has delivered over 400,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the Chinese market.

BMW Group is set to expand its offerings in 2025, with over 10 new BMW models and several new MINI and BMW Motorrad products slated for launch.

A highlight of 2025 will be the debut of BMW's highly anticipated Neue Klasse models.

These vehicles, showcasing BMW's cutting-edge innovations, will set new benchmarks for the brand's future lineup.

At the 2025 CES in Las Vegas, BMW unveiled its groundbreaking Panoramic iDrive, powered by the self-developed BMW Operating System X.

With 70 percent of the source code developed and optimized in China, the system is designed to align with local user preferences.

The Neue Klasse models will feature BMW's latest generation of advanced driver assistance systems, with deep involvement from BMW China's R&D team.

The goal is to provide safe, reliable, and user-centric intelligent driving experiences tailored to Chinese consumers, said the carmaker.
