The energy industry is experiencing a surge in digital and intelligent transformation driven by technological advancements. CHINT Group, a company based in Zhejiang province, is contributing to this transformation by utilizing its green and low-carbon sector expertise to enhance productivity within the energy industry.
According to Nan Cunhui, chairman of CHINT Group, the company's "methodology" is to "strengthen industries through addition".
Notable projects include the construction of Asia's largest 550 megawatt fishery-solar hybrid photovoltaic power generation project in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. The project generates 650 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, saving approximately 235,000 metric tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 648,000 tons each year.
Additionally, CHINT has set up a 150MW "agriculture-solar hybrid" power plant in Yueqing, Wenzhou, on reclaimed tidal salt-alkali land. This power-generating initiative helped transform the tidal flats into efficient agricultural bases.
In the field of graphene, CHINT is focusing on new materials and technologies to drive innovative, high-quality productivity. Their developments in graphene-coated copper powder technology and advanced graphene plating technology have garnered attention for their potential applications in various industries, including electric vehicles.
CHINT is the first company in China to apply graphene in the plating field and achieve industrialization. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology listed the technology as a national key project.
