Greater interdependence in Asia needed amid rising global conflicts

Suriyan Vichitlekarn, executive director of the Mekong Institute, emphasized that as global conflicts intensify, it becomes increasingly vital for neighboring countries to deepen interdependence and cooperation. The Mekong Institute is an intergovernmental organization represented by all six countries of the Greater Mekong Subregion: Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
