Coca-Cola China has announced the donation of 15 water purification units, worth more than 500,000 yuan ($73,265) in 2026, expanding a long-running program aimed at improving access to safe drinking water in rural schools.
The initiative, known as the “Clean Water Program”, was launched in 2012 by Coca-Cola China in partnership with the One Foundation. The latest contribution is being implemented alongside its bottling partners COFCO Coca-Cola and Swire Coca-Cola.
As the program enters its 15th year, Coca-Cola China said it is increasing investment while introducing a broader public participation model that integrates contributions from employees, bottling partners and consumers.
By the end of 2025, the program had reached 6,221 rural schools across 29 provincial-level regions, installing 6,836 water purification units and benefiting more than 3.3 million people. The initiative has also helped improve hygiene awareness and practices among students, the company said.
