Coca-Cola China donates over 500k yuan to expand rural water initiative

The two bottling partners have played a key role in scaling the program. COFCO Coca-Cola has contributed equipment donations and mobilized employees through volunteer initiatives, while Swire Coca-Cola has expanded participation through campaigns such as charity runs that convert employee activity into funding support.

One of the newly donated units reflects Coca-Cola's push toward consumer engagement. Funded through a points-based campaign on its WeChat mini program, the unit has been installed at a school in Jiangxi province, demonstrating how small-scale public contributions can be aggregated into tangible infrastructure support.

Coca-Cola China said it will continue to invest in the program and explore new participation channels, as it seeks to address ongoing gaps in access to safe drinking water and deliver long-term social impact.
