State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Company recently held a volunteer activity at a local center serving special groups in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, where its volunteers carried out electrical safety checks and took part in a series of interactive activities with the participants.
Through the "Light Knockers" community care initiative, the volunteers inspected wiring, switches and electrical appliances at the center, addressed potential safety hazards, and made energy-saving improvements to help create a safer and more comfortable environment for daily use.
The team later conducted a tailored electrical safety workshop for participants. Using animated videos, interactive tools and on-site demonstrations, the volunteers explained basic safety knowledge in a simple and accessible way. The workshop helped participants better understand the safe use of electrical equipment and improve self-protection awareness.
In addition to the safety services, the volunteers organized a dried-flower art workshop. Participants were encouraged to express themselves in a warm and inclusive setting, with the activity helping promote creativity, confidence and communication.
A photography session was also held during the event. Volunteers captured moments of joy and interaction, and the photos will be given to participants as keepsakes.
The company said it will continue to advance the program, extending professional services and care to more special groups, helping build warmer and safer communities, and contributing to the harmonious development of society.
