City-sports symbiosis

The Asian Beach Games have been closely aligned with the development of Sanya's urban civilization by encouraging citizens to watch games and warmly welcome guests.

From public activities marking the 200-day countdown to the Games to recruiting and training 4,680 event volunteers, Sanya has conveyed the concept of "everyone is a host" to every citizen, allowing visitors from all over the world to experience the city's enthusiasm and hospitality.

Vinod Kumar Tiwari, deputy director-general of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), praised the Asian Beach Games. He noted that the event's concept integrates environmental protection and innovation, and the design that harmoniously combines beach sports with natural landscapes is impressive.

The construction of competition venues and supporting facilities meets international standards, and the detailed work in reception services, volunteer training and multilingual services fully reflects the host's hospitality, openness, and inclusiveness, he added.

Notably, during the Games' preparation, Sanya has established a comprehensive work system of "planning — deployment — implementation" and implemented an innovative management mechanism, demonstrating efficient overall planning and meticulous attention to detail from organization to service guarantees.

Currently, nearly 10,000 athletes, technical officials, media reporters and tourists from 45 countries and regions across Asia have gathered in Sanya.

Zhou Jian, director of the media and broadcasting department of OCA, expressed his anticipation of collaborating with media to host a spectacular beach sports event, effectively promoting Hainan FTP to the world, enhancing its international visibility and influence, and simultaneously showcasing China's openness and confidence.
