Xinchengzi town, in Beijing's Miyun district, has been a destination for tourists drawn to the area's Great Wall section, countryside serenity, and views of centuries-old trees and military fortresses dating to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

A recently opened public art show is adding new vibes to the township, engaging people in a vivid dialogue on the role of art in rural vitalization.

The exhibition Art Weaves the Countryside, Dreams Shine Our Homeland is on display at the town's Cypress Garden, which houses a cypress believed to be 3,000 years old, until April 2027, integrating sculptures and installations into the rural landscape.
