Cranes and elephants unite as Yancheng hosts Nairobi photo exhibit

On the same day, the African Ecological Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference took place, aiming to use ecology as a link and cultural tourism as a bridge to promote intercontinental development of ecological tourism, thereby helping Yancheng become a world-class tourist destination.

Kenya, located along the equator, boasts abundant wildlife resources and a mature eco-tourism industry. Yancheng is a World Natural Heritage Site and is known as an "international wetland city". It is a crucial stopover on the East Asian–Australasian Flyway, hosting millions of migratory birds each year, and is home to several rare species, exemplifying a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Chen said, "Tourism is not just about seeing the sights; it is a journey and dialogue across mountains and seas."

"Although Yancheng and Kenya are separated by vast distances, they share a high degree of alignment in ecological concepts, with unique and complementary resource endowments," she added and expressed her anticipation for cooperation between the two sides in cultural exchange and the integration of cultural tourism.
