Mariano Assanami Sabino, Vice Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, said the visit highlighted the importance of technological innovation in agriculture.
"I was very impressed by the use of technology in agriculture. The technologies we saw demonstrate how innovation can improve productivity and efficiency," Sabino said.
He said discussions at the poultry farm also opened possibilities for future cooperation.
"We had the opportunity to explore possibilities for working more closely together, including in areas such as hatchery development and poultry farming," he said.
Xiying village in Pinggu has become a model for specialty agricultural development. The village has cultivated more than 20 varieties of Pinggu peaches, along with pears and apples. Fresh peaches are harvested continuously from June through October.
Visitors were introduced to the village's smart agriculture platform, where intelligent agricultural equipment supports fully mechanized and digital orchard management. Technicians demonstrated the functions of various smart devices as guests gathered around to watch.
