Chinese singer Jason Zhang, who recently set a record for the most consecutive concerts staged by a solo artist in a single stadium, is set to launch the international leg of his Future·Live — Leave for 1982 World Tour in Singapore on June 27.

The tour, the largest and most ambitious undertaking of Zhang's two-decade-plus music career, was launched in 2024.

Conceived as both a retrospective of his artistic journey and a look toward the future, the project is designed like a time-travel journey to remind fans that life has many possibilities.

After drawing huge crowds with 12 shows at Beijing's National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, last year, Zhang expanded the run to 16 performances at the venue in just 24 days in spring this year. The achievement made him the first singer in the world to stage so many consecutive solo concerts in a single stadium.

The upcoming show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will mark the first stop of the tour's new overseas chapter. It is also seen as an important step in broadening Zhang's international reach following a recent strategic partnership between his personal label, Planet Culture, and Universal Music Group.
