Chen Kelong, Party secretary of Jingdezhen, said the city has long served as an important messenger of exchanges between Eastern and Western civilizations, with its porcelain traveling across the seas and reaching markets around the world.
The city has established friendly exchanges with more than 180 cities in over 70 countries and attracted "Jingpiao" — artists, designers and entrepreneurs drawn to Jingdezhen‘s ceramics scene — from more than 50 countries and regions.
Today, Jingdezhen is advancing the development of the national ceramic culture inheritance and innovation pilot zone, integrating heritage protection, artistic innovation, industrial upgrading and international cultural exchange, Chen said.
Pu Shouzhi, Party secretary of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, said the university has long carried the mission of promoting Chinese ceramic culture and revitalizing China's ceramic industry.
