Chinese tech company Huawei Technologies Co plans to release its flagship Mate 90 series this September, featuring a next-generation Kirin chip built on the company's newly established Tau Scaling Law. The chip, expected to be named Kirin 9050 Pro, is currently undergoing packaging and testing.
Huawei first introduced the Tau Scaling Law in May, marking the first time a Chinese company has proposed a new guiding principle for the semiconductor industry. Unlike Moore's Law, which relies on geometric shrinkage to increase transistor density, the Tau Scaling Law pursues "time scaling" — systematically reducing the time through logic folding technology that vertically stacks circuitry to compress signal propagation delays.
