Thousands gather in Wuhan for latest Yangtze River crossing

In the group competition, about 1,900 swimmers from 29 teams entered the water one after another. All reached the riverbank safely after two hours and 15 minutes, watched by nearly 20,000 onlookers gathered along the river.

Along with swimmers from New Zealand, Russia, Thailand and the United Kingdom, organizers also welcomed the first Spanish participant this year.
