They were followed by an orchestra from the M.I. Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory in Russia, which performed a selection from Christoph Willibald Gluck's Dance of the Furies.

A violin ensemble from Turkmenistan offered a distinctive fusion of Eastern and Western traditions, pairing Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dance No 5 with folk-infused works by Turkmen composer Nury Halmammedov — a musical dialogue that evoked the ancient echoes of the Silk Road meeting European classical forms.

Bulgarian troupes brought the energy of the Balkans to the Beijing stage with a dynamic medley of vocal music, instrumental arrangements and dance. Meanwhile, a youth chamber orchestra from the Conservatory of Music and Arts Celaya in Mexico injected a surge of Latin fervor into the concert with a spirited performance of Danzon No 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Marquez.
