The bridge rotation operation for the Changzhou Tenglong Avenue Smart Expressway Interchange Project was completed recently in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, setting a record for the largest rotation angle among railway overpass bridges in the province, one of China's leading provinces by GDP.
The Tenglong Avenue Smart Expressway overpass project is being developed by the Changzhou Highway Development Center, managed by the Donghua Metro Corporation of China Railway Shanghai Group, and constructed by China Railway 24th Bureau Group.
Infrastructure construction continues to support China's steady economic growth and high-quality development. Major transportation projects such as urban elevated expressways and railway-crossing interchanges can improve regional transport efficiency, cut logistics costs and facilitate the flow of production factors, including talent, commodities and capital.
As a key form of tangible investment, transportation infrastructure supports upstream and downstream industrial chains covering steel, engineering equipment, new building materials and smart construction technology, while also benefiting manufacturing employment and fixed-asset investment.
Furthermore, upgraded urban transport networks strengthen the connectivity of industrial parks, accelerate the integrated development of urban clusters and support long-term consumption growth, industrial upgrading and coordinated regional economic development.
