National Art Museum extends summer opening hours

Less than 2 kilometers from the Palace Museum's Shenwu Men (Gate of Divine Prowess) and Jingshan Park in central Beijing, the National Art Museum of China is among the capital's most popular attractions, drawing visitors from across China and around the world, especially during the summer holiday.

To enhance the visitor experience, the museum recently announced extended opening hours from July 15 to Aug 30. On weekdays (Monday to Friday), visitors can enter until 5 pm, with the museum closing at 6 pm. On weekends, admission is available until 7 pm and the museum remains open until 8 pm.

The museum is presenting a diverse lineup of exhibitions spanning different eras and cultures, including Renaissance masterpieces from Italy's Uffizi Galleries and a showcase of works by Bada Shanren, a legendary 17th-century painter renowned for his minimalist style.
