Cooking competition in Chongqing identifies top tastebud ticklers

During the event's opening ceremony, the first of 10 "Kaizhou Golden Chef Villages" was unveiled. Twenty more will be designated this year to promote the Kaizhou Golden Chef brand locally.

Ten restaurants from Kaizhou and elsewhere (Jinan, Shandong province, Xi'an, Shaanxi province, and Dazhou, Sichuan province) earned the designation of "Kaizhou Golden Chef Distinguished Restaurant" — a distinctive brand in Chongqing that identifies high quality. It aims to drive the development of the culinary industry and create employment opportunities.
