ECRL enters new phase as system checks begin

Malaysia's Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook officiated the commencement of System Integration Testing (SIT) and Fault-Free Run (FFR) for the East Coast Rail Link, or ECRL, on Aug 14 at Gombak Integrated Terminal. With 95.08% overall progress, Phase 1 of the project targets commercial operations by Jan 2027. CCCECRL Managing Director Deng Bo said these tests would ensure the safety and reliability of future operations.
