Over 24,000 TEU dual-fuel ship departs Jiangsu to begin its sea trial

OOCL Grace, one of the world's largest methanol dual-fuel container ships with a capacity of 24,168 twenty-foot equivalent units, recently departed the wharf in Nantong, Jiangsu province, to start its sea trial voyage.

As the second vessel built by Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co Ltd for Orient Overseas Container Line, OOCL Grace carries forward the technical advantages of its lead ship, OOCL Wisdom. It has core strengths of massive container capacity, low-carbon operation and high intelligence and efficiency. According to the manufacturer, it can handle high-intensity, long-voyage missions on key ocean trade routes.

It has also undergone upgrades to outfitting workmanship details, intelligent energy regulation and navigation comfort, aiming to contribute to maritime economic and trade exchanges, the manufacturer said.
