Chinese stocks close higher - May 17
(Xinhua) Updated: 2012-05-17 15:35BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.39 percent to 2,378.89.
The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 1.64 percent to 10,079.48.
