BEIJING/TAIPEI - A 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan's Hualien County at 2:13 pm (Beijing time) on Sunday, the China Earthquake Networks Center reported.
The epicenter was monitored at 24.2 degrees north latitude and 121.4 degrees east longitude with a depth of 8 km, according to the center.
Taiwan's local weather department put the earthquake at 4.3-magnitude and its depth at 9.3 km. It said the epicenter was located 39.7 kilometers northwest of the county government.
There have so far been no reports of casualties or property losses.
