HANGZHOU - A chain collision involving 20 vehicles killed two people and injured eight on an east China expressway early Tuesday, local authorities told Xinhua.
An initial investigation found that the collision was caused by heavy smoke rising from garbage burning by the expressway that links Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, and Shanghai, according to firefighters in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province.
The injured people have been sent to nearby hospitals.
Further investigation is underway.
