BEIJING - The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has reminded Chinese working in the Republic of Korea (ROK) of their right to claim back insurance premiums when their work ends and they return home.
In a statement posted online on Thursday, the MOC said that thus far, nearly 10,000 qualified Chinese workers are yet to file applications for the return of insurance premiums paid when working in the ROK.
Under ROK law, foreigners working in the country must pay toward four insurance policies, the premiums of two of which can be repaid to the workers after they return to their home country.
