A 700-kg cow attacks a farm worker in Nangang, Anhui province, on Sunday afternoon. Farmers called in SWAT police who killed the animal with eight bullets. The cow had escaped Saturday night as it was unloaded from a truck. [Photo By Huang Yangyang / For China Daily] |
The bull was part of a herd of cattle sent to the farm from Hebei province and went wild when it was unloaded from the transport truck that night. It attacked farm workers and ran out of the farm. By the following afternoon, the bull could still not be brought under control and police killed it at about 1:30 pm on Sunday with eight shots from a submachine gun.
It is the third time a runaway bull at the cattle farm has been shot dead by police.
