'The Monuments Men' premieres at 64th Berlin Film Festival

George Clooney will attend a screening of 'Monuments Men' at the White House.

The Hollywood hunk - who co-wrote, produced and directed the World War II drama which he also stars in as Lieutenant Frank Stokes - will join President Barack Obama as he hosts the closed-press evening along with members of the films cast and crew, deadline.com report.

The screening is a rare occurrence for the White House as the drama was released in the US on February 7 and has grossed over $ 46m to date.

Clooney previously teamed up with the American President for Obama's re-election fundraiser at his Studio City home in 2012, which raised a staggering $15 million after guests snapped up tickets costing $40,000 for the event.

'The Monuments Men' is based on Robert M. Edsel's book of the same name - full title 'The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History' - and has an A-List cast including Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman and Cate Blanchett.

It follows the the tale of an unlikely World War II unit that was tasked with saving priceless art from the Nazis and returning them to their rightful owners.
