Season of shows in Beijing

The Mark Morris Dance Group, which artistic director and choreographer Mark Morris founded in New York in 1980, will perform in Beijing on its China tour on Nov 14 and 15. Titled Music in Motion, the tour will contain three performances with different choreography and music arrangements, including Words, based on excerpts from Mendelssohn's music, Grand Duo, based on Lou Harrison's Grand Duo for Violin and Piano, and Socrates, to a composition by Erik Satie created in the heyday of 20th-century French neoclassicism.
