Hong Kong director Tsui Hark's latest film "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy" is to hit Chinese theatres on Christmas Eve.
The film is adapted from Tracks in the Snowy Forest, a popular novel written by Qu Bo.
Set in the 1940's, the story revolves around a Chinese spy sent to infiltrate heavily armed bandit forces, and fight against them with his courage and wit.
The film stars Tony Leung, Zhang Hanyu and Lin Gengxin.
Tsui Hark is a Vietnamese-born New Wave film director, best known for his film's "A Better Tomorrow" and "Seven Swords."
He is viewed as a major figure in the Golden Age of Hong Kong cinema.
