Disney expands cooperation with Shanghai group

The Walt Disney Company (Shanghai) Ltd and Shanghai Media Group reached an agreement to expand strategic cooperation on Friday.

The agreement covers a wide range including TV program creativity, co-production of films, and content marketing. A recent project is Born in China, a documentary recording China’s landscape and wildlife produced by Disneynature. The film is scheduled to be released worldwide in 2016.

They also agreed to establish a fund encouraging more talents in scriptwriting, and they aim to nurture a Disney film co-produced by the two countries in the future.
