The schedule of China's annual meeting of cultural centers and libraries in 2015 was announced at a Ministry of Culture news conference on Wednesday. The two events are the nation's highest level meetings in those industries.
This year's annual meeting of cultural centers will be held in Chongqing from Oct 30 to Nov 1, focusing on the development of public cultural institutions in poverty-stricken areas. About 3,500 booths will be at the event to promote the latest achievements of the country's cultural centers at all levels using modern technology to serve people's daily life.
A two-day annual meeting of libraries will open on Dec 16 in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province. Working seminars, symposiums and expos are included in the event, which is expected to attract 2,500 participants. Overseas library-association administrators also will be invited.
