Populous diverdifolia embroidery made in Mori, China's Xinjiang

An embroidery worker makes Kazakh embroidery in Dashitou Village of Mori Kazakh autonomous county, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, July 12, 2012. The Kazakh embroidery in Mori is a key industry for local economy. In 2011, the embroidery industry's output value was nearly 100 million RMB (about 15.7 million U.S. dollars). The Mori people even combine Kazakh embroidery with Su embroidery, a special kind of embroidery in east China's Jiangsu province, and create a new kind of embroidery. This kind of embroidery gets its name from populous diverdifolia, a typical plant in Xinjiang.[Photo/Xinhua]
