Galerie Urs Meile gallery shows new works by Chinese artists in Shanghai

Also to be shown are Li Gang's sculpture Gravity 2 that is made of steel tubes and jaded bracelets. The 30-year-old artist from Yunnan province examines the relationship between male and female within the population of migrants. Li will hold a solo exhibition at the gallery's Beijing space from Nov 5 to Feb 19.
Visitors will also see German artist Tobias Rehberger's 11 small sculptures, each of which portrays a yellow bird resting on a tree branch. Together they form a work titled Zippy (1 Year) - Zippy (11 Years) and will be installed everywhere at the booth. They were produced in Jingdezhen, the porcelain town in Jiangxi province. Rehberger made the work in memory of a pet canary which he received as a gift for his first birthday and accompanied him for 11 years.
