10. Chicken muamba, Gabon

Delicious? Yes! Healthy? Not exactly. To die for? You bet! Made with lots of palm butter, a type of African butter that has all the negative health consequences of any butter, your doctor may frown upon chicken muamba, but your stomach will thank you. With all the savory flavors of chicken and just a hint of heat, the dish truly places the goodness of chicken under the spot light. Just forget about the calories and eat it. It’s that good. Besides, it’ll force you to start going back to the gym.

9. Ice cream, United States

Is there anyone who truly dislikes ice cream? We’ve all stuffed our mouths with ice cream at one time or another. There’s the classic vanilla and chocolate flavors and also tropical ones like mango or coconut. And gosh, they even make it in green tea and ginger! I don’t know about you, but for me, it’s double scoop. Always.

8. Tom yum goong, Thailand

Combine shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, lemongrass, galangal and kaffir lime leaves in a pot, add some coconut milk or cream, and you’ve got a hearty bowl of tom yum goong. This classic Thai soup showcases classic Thai flavors: sour, salty, spicy and sweet. It serves as a good (and cheap!) appetizer before your Pad Thai.

7. Penang assam laksa, Malaysia

This is one of Malaysia’s most popular fish dishes. Like many of Southeast Asia’s foods, it fuses spicy and sour flavors. It’ll get you sweating and your nose running. The penang assam laksa is practically a meal fit in just one bowl. Readily available in the streets of Malaysia, to find and to enjoy the penang assam laksa is not a challenge. To go for a second serving or not? That’s the real challenge.

6. Hamburger, Germany

All things exist for a reason. The presence of so many restaurant chains devoted to hamburgers is indicative of its worldwide popularity. It’s fast and convenient. It doesn’t come with all the formalities of dining etiquettes and will not trouble you with not knowing which pair of forks and knives to use. All you need to do is to grab it with your bare hands and take a big bite. Yum.
