The museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy is hosting an academic show for veteran artist Shi Lu (1919-82), an influential artist of the Chang'an Painting School in Shaanxi province during the 20th century.
On view are more than 200 ink paintings and sketches, which Shi produced from 1930s-60s.
Shi made breakthroughs in integrating the traditional genre of ink landscape by depicting Chinese people's lives during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
