Staatskapelle Dresden will give two concerts under the baton of its new principal conductor Christian Thielemann. The orchestra has a history of more than 450 years. Thielemann took up the baton in Dresden at Staatskapelle last August. The first day's program is: Prelude and Isoldes Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde by Wagner and Symphony No 7 in E Major by Bruckner. On Oct 31, the orchestra will play a series of Wagner works and Brahms' Symphony No 1 in C Minor.
